Trip Center launches AI-powered price prediction for flight search

New feature reviews fare trends to help travelers decide when to book, at no extra cost.

Trip Center today announced the launch of a new price prediction feature that helps travelers decide the best time to book a flight. The tool reviews fare trends for a searched route and shows a simple indicator of whether the current price is likely to rise, stay steady, or fall in the coming days.

The feature draws on fare data made available through Trip Center's flight suppliers, including Duffel and other distribution partners, and compares current prices against recent trends for the same route, cabin and travel dates. It is designed to give travelers a plain-language signal while they are comparing options, rather than asking them to interpret complex charts.

"Airfare changes constantly, and for most travelers the hardest part is simply knowing whether to book now or wait," said the Trip Center product team. "We built this feature to answer that question at a glance, using the fare data we already receive from our suppliers."

The indicator appears alongside search results and labels each fare as "likely to rise", "prices are stable" or "good time to book". Trip Center describes the feature as guidance rather than a guarantee, because airline pricing depends on many factors outside any provider's control.

Price prediction is available now on tripcenter.com at no additional cost. Trip Center said it will continue to refine the model and plans to extend similar guidance to hotel and car rental results later in 2026.
